Felis Domesticus
Master likes cats (actually, he's always reminded shayla of a snow leopard), and it seems that he's had at least one for quite some time now. His female he acquired quite by accident. A feral tortoise-shell camped out on the patio of his place about 3 years ago and had a litter of kittens in the corner. A friend of Master's helped him find homes for all of them, but he kept one.
MamaCat is a brown tabby, very very petite, & a bit shy. The first two weeks shayla was at her Master's Mama would occasionally spit & hiss at her. Not surprising, really. A strange person coming into her home territory, while she's still got a pair of 8-week-old kittens still nursing. Though after a while she got used to shayla and even began to show her some real affection. But by far Master's Mama's favorite person. Shayla would get a chuckle out of things occasionally, being made to sleep at her Master's feet while Mama got pride of place camping on Master's pillow right near his head. And any time he's sitting at the computer Mama's got to be right there in his lap. Poor man, surrounded by adoring pussies, what's he supposed to do?
The kittens had mostly found homes when shayla arrived, with the exception of two, which Master's kept so far. One's a long-haired champagne colored male, Herman (Harold? something with an H, shayla can never remember) Stinkopolis. He's a little shy & quiet, like his mother, but will come in occasionally to loiter around the house before slipping outside again. Most of the time we find him on the roof or hood of a car.
The black one's a whole different cat. Stanley Finkinski is the original slut-cat. Unlike his mother, he took right to shayla, & routinely stays near her regardless of what she's doing. In the kitchen he's underfoot, while she's folding laundry he's laying on the laundry, while exercising he's got to be right there with her (ever try to do pushups with a cat trying to lay down underneath you?). And when shayla's laying at her Master's feet, she normally has one leg bent, the other straight. Fink will invariably make himself at home between her legs in the crook of her knee. Even when she's kneeling, he'll lay down between her knees. Master says he can't blame Fink, as he gets between shayla's thighs as often as he can, too.
MamaCat's been wanting to go outside for a while. Shayla lets the boys out as they wish but we'd kept Mama in until a few days ago. But the other day Master had shayla let her out, both of us thinking that she'd stay close by, with her kittens & near the food source. After a few hours of staying near the door-way she disappeared. We didn't see her for a couple days. Shayla tried to call her in when she saw her but she'd not have anything to do with it. Tonight was the same thing. MamaCat was on the patio & shayla called her in, even left the door open & stepped out of sight for a moment. But she didn't come in, just yowled a couple times & then ran away. Shayla's hoping that she doesn't go feral. But she's alright, unhurt, and eating, and still staying near-by.
