Music

Master was browsing through some of his music on the computer the other night. Older music, 60's, blues and so forth (probably a lot more than that, but shayla barely knows one style of music from another). Most of the songs that Master played shayla didn't know the names of, who wrote them, only that she'd heard them before, though in most cases it had been years.

He's spent a great deal of his life around music, and knows more than the average person does about it. It always seems to surprise him that shayla will remember and like a song, but have no clue as to who wrote it, or occasionally what the name of the song is. She's never been one to keep track of who played or wrote what, she just listens to what she likes.

So for a couple hours at least we sat listening to music that he's got on his computer. Master would occasionally have shayla guess who performed a particular song, what type of music something was. Sometimes she would even come up with the right answers. We didn't talk about anything serious, just went from one song to the other. Looking back now she can't even recall which songs were played, though one comes to mind, 'Ahab the Arab'. Shayla can't even remember who it was who wrote the song, though.

Shayla would get up to refill Master's beer occasionally, or get herself something to drink. No interruptions, concerns, just enjoying being together.
