Exercise Videos

For a while when shayla did her daily exercises when Master was home, she'd not do them in the same room as Master. Instead, she'd take herself into another room to do them. A few weeks ago, though, he started encouraging her to do them in the same room as he. At first it was uncomfortable, which is most likely one of the main reasons he had her do it. To get shayla used to moving in front of him.

Months before shayla came down to live with Master, he stumbled upon a belly-dancing CD and picked it up for her. Shayla's had belly-dancing lessons in the past. They were fun, she was able to pick things up well, even was in one performance (it was one dance, in a retirement home of all places, but still, she did it). But that was over 5 years ago. And while she remembers many of the moves, she doesn't remember the dances at all, or how to put the moves together. So the CD's been a help in recalling what she's forgotten and needed practice on. And she's been able to go through the CD with Master right there in the same room. Working on something on another computer, but she's got no doubt that he's not missed one move she's made.

Today was unexpected. Shayla'd had some trouble getting the CD to play (it seems Master's computer doesn't like her), so wasn't able to go through it last night as she'd planned. This morning after her workout Master got the CD to work (took 10 seconds) and she started in. He'd turned the volume up, as he likes the music, and we both laugh about some of the things that are said on an exercise video, then went back to his work. Only to start mimicking some of the things that were being said, doing some of the moves on the video, joking about how he half-expected a snake to pop out of a basket any second.

It was all shayla could do to keep moving, she was laughing so hard at times. Here's this man that shayla adores, who can affect her whole mood with a word, joking around about a belly-dance video. It was ridiculous, hilarious. Just thinking about it makes her smile. And she's never been so comfortable with dancing in front of him.
